North Andover, MA.-- The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team scored in the third but couldn't pick up the weekend sweep as the Boston College Eagles knocked them off by a score of 4-1 at Lawler Arena
on Saturday night.
Merrimack (8-11-1, 4-6-1): 1, Boston College (13-4-1, 7-3-1): 4

In the first period
Max Lundgren was the story, stopping all 16 Boston College shots that he faced including a breakaway toe save early in the frame.
In the second, Merrimack was unable to cash in on the game's first powerplay, but the Eagles found the icebreaker on one of their own as they scored
at 5:33 of the period. Boston College tallied twice more in quick succession to carry a three-goal advantage into the final period.
In the third period, Merrimack would be awarded a five-minute powerplay, and
Nick Pierre picked the bend in the post for his first goal as a Warrior with just under ten minutes to play. The Eagles however snagged the empty net goal to clinch the win
