Hopkinton, NH—The Merrimack Men's Cross-Country Team had a solid outing at the NECIAAA Cross Country Championships at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds finishing 7th of 24 teams competing on Friday afternoon.

The Basics
Distance: 8,000 meters
Top Finisher: Aidan Dupill
Location: Hopkinton, NH

How it Happened
Aidan Dupill set the pace again for the Warriors again with an 18th place finish and mark of 24:55.88, Sean Moore placed in 23rd with a time of 25:02.62, Reidar Aageson was the third highest finisher with a time of 25:23.59 and an even 40th. Riley McGoldrick was 4th and 59th with a time of 25:41.19 and Michael Alleva rounded out the Merrimack top five with a time of 25:55.37.

From Head Coach Chris Cameron: "We just finished a hard week of practice. Heading into the race, I told both teams that running a PR when you're feeling tired is a great confidence booster. I challenged everyone on the team to go after their PR, and nearly everyone got the job done. It was nice to see both teams step up and meet the challenge head on. Today helped build confidence as we prepare to enter the most important part of our season."

The Warriors have a week off before running in the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet on October 24th.
