Women's Ice Hockey Defeats Lindenwood 3-1 For Weekend Split

ST. CHARLES, MO — The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team bounced back to take a 3-1 win against the Lindenwood Lions to split the weekend series in St. Charles on Saturday afternoon.

Merrimack (2-3-1): 3, Lindenwood (1-7-0): 1

Merrimack jumped all over Lindenwood early as Alexandra Cservjacsenko scored the opening goal just over three minutes into the game and doubled the lead just over two minutes later when Emma Pfeffer cashed in on the powerplay. 

The Warriors would add the third and final goal of the period late on when Stina Sandberg found the net.

Lindenwood got on the board in the late stages of the second period, but the Warriors held on as Adreanna Doucette made 30 saves in the final 40 minutes including 21 saves in the third period to capture the win.

UP NEXT: The Warriors stay on the road as they head to Providence next Sunday October 19th, to face Brown University at 3 PM.
