STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.– Jade Shabo scored her third goal of the season for the Merrimack College Field Hockey team in a NEC matchup at Wagner College Friday afternoon in Staten Island, NY.

How It Happened
The Warriors and Seahawks started the game trading multiple penalty corners, but nine minutes in the Seahawks capitalized, scoring the first goal of the game. With 15 seconds left in the first quarter the Seahawks added onto their lead, netting a penalty stroke to make it 2-0.
Isabelle Gardiner and the Warrior defense shut down multiple attempts from the Seahawks throughout the second quarter.
Merrimack came out of the half firing, scoring a goal two and a half minutes into the third quarter. Shabo put it past the Wagner goalie for her third goal of the season. Wagner notched another but, Maddy Cherry made it 3-2 on a redirect from Darla Mahoney to get the Warriors back in reach. Shortly thereafter, Wagner scored again off a penalty corner to make it 4-2.
