NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Hockey East leading Merrimack men's hockey team welcomes the 2023 NCAA National Champions to Lawler Arena Friday night, as No. 6 ranked Quinnipiac comes to town for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
The Warriors (2-1-0) host the sixth-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats (4-1-1) as the first of two home games on the weekend. LIU visits Lawler on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
Merrimack is atop the Hockey East standings leading 6 points in the conference standings. The Warriors are coming off back-to-back wins over UMass-Lowell and New Hampshire.
Quinnipiac, who has made five-straight NCAA Tournament appears under head coach Rand Pecknold, have wins over Boston College, Notre Dame and No. 7 ranked Maine. The Bobcats lone loss was to top-10 Providence.

Parker Lalonde was acknowledged for his play last week, being named the Hockey East Player of Week. Lalonde nabbed a hat trick in a 5-1 win over New Hampshire on Oct. 18th. Lalonde is the team leader in goals (4), points (5) and plus/minus (+6).
This is the first meeting between the two programs since the 2023 NCAA Tournament. At the Bridgeport Regional Semifinals, the Bobcats got the win on their way to the 2023 National Championship.
