NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Alessandro Bedei scored the lone goal for the Merrimack College men's soccer team on Saturday in a physical MAAC matchup at Mazzella Field at Iona University.

Bedei got the Warriors on the board in the 42
nd minute off assists from
Rocco DelGiudice and
Jonathan Kratz, trimming the deficit to 2–1.
Despite generating 16 shots and seven corner kicks — including 13 attempts in the second half — the Warriors couldn't find an equalizer. Iona sealed the match in the 89th minute.
There were 15 cards distributed in the contest between the two sides.
