NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Adreanna Doucette continued her stretch of strong play with a 42 save effort against Boston College as the team celebrated its Skating Strides game in conjunction with the Ellie Fund on Saturday afternoon at Lawler Arena.
Merrimack (2-5-1, 0-1-0): 1, Boston College (4-4-0, 3-0-0) 2
Adreanna Doucette made 17 saves in a hectic opening frame. The Warriors broke the ice as Mady Cipolla skated through the slot and tipped in the effort from Madison Michals. Boston College would level the game in the final three minutes of the period.
The Eagles took the lead in the second period, but Doucette made 25 more stops in the final two periods combined to keep the Warriors in striking distance.
Notes and Numbers:
· Adreanna Doucette made 42 saves, her third consecutive start making 40+ and her second making 42 saves exactly.
· Mady Cipolla's goal was her first as a Warrior.
· Madison Michals had the lone assist.
