HAMDEN, Conn.–
Mckenna Shotwell notched a double-double, but the Merrimack women's volleyball team lost 3-1 to second-place Quinnipiac Tuesday night. The Bobcats were coming off a sweep of first-place Fairfield.
The Bobcats escaped with a 25-23 win set 1 and won the second set 25-18, before the Warriors won set three 26-24. Quinnipiac held on for a 25-20 win to close the match.
In a weekday matchup between MAAC opponent Quinnipiac, the Warriors found themselves in a tightly contest match. Shotwell added another double-double onto her season total while
Aubrey Baker followed close behind with eight kills and four digs. Just like last time against the Bobcats,
Morgan Thurlow tallied six block assists while
Marissa Kobelski followed close behind with five.
Sophia DeBonis and
Lilly Konrad posted a combined 31 assists in the match which helped them steal a set in the third.
