MONTGOMERY, NY -- The Merrimack College Men's & Women's Cross Country teams will be competing in the MAAC Cross Country Championships at Twin Ponds on the Farm this Saturday.
Action starts with the Women's 6K Race at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Men's 8K Race which starts at 12:00 p.m.
The Men's team finished 2nd out of 7 teams at the Shawn Nassaney Invitational earlier this season in September. The Women's team had great results at the New England Championships earlier this month, placing 5th out of the 25 competing teams.
On the men's side, Aiden Dupill has been the consistent top finisher this season, receiving the MAAC player of the week award twice and setting a record time of 24:52 in the 8000 meter event at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in September.
Maci Chapman has been the top finisher for the women this season. She finished 14th out of 288 runners in the MAAC with a time of 18:03.89 and finished 6th overall at the CCSU mini meet last week.
