NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College Women's Volleyball team defended home court and completed the weekend sweep by defeating the Iona University Gaels in straight sets.
The Warriors attack was led by
Mckenna Shotwell with 16 kills and
Aubrey Baker with 15 kills.
Sophia DeBonis and
Lilly Konrad continue to set up their teammates with DeBonis tallying 15 assists and Konrad tallying 16.
Marissa Kobelski was a stone wall, adding 4 blocks to her 3.5 total blocks in yesterday's match.
Stats and Facts
- Mckenna Shotwell got her third straight double-double with 14 digs to compliment her 16 kills which brings her season total up to 8
- Ella Maldonado led the Warrior defense totalling 19 digs in the match
- Lilly Konrad added a kill and 5 digs to go with her 16 assists
- Morgan Thurlow continued to be a steady force, adding 4 kills and 2 block assists for 5 total points in the match.
The Warriors are home again for more MAAC play next Friday as they welcome in the Rider University Broncs. Game time is set for 6pm at Hammel Court.
