Women's Hockey Faces Off With Assumption on Sunday

North Andover, Mass.-- Merrimack finishes November on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM at Lawler Arena, as they play a brand new opponent today hosting the
Assumption University Greyhounds

Merrimack sits in first place of Hockey East teams and seventh overall in the nation in blocked shots so far this season with 251 in 15 games (16.3 per game). Maggie Kime sits atop the list with 32 while Maddie Crowley-Cahill, Emma Pfeffer, Stina Sandberg, Kerttu Lehmus and Solveig Gisler have 20 or more. Eleven players total have block numbers in the double digits.

Emma Pfeffer leads the entire NCAA in powerplay goals with five in total. Emma holds the team lead in goals with those five, she has four assists as well and she is team leader in points with nine.

Merrimack enters this game with the ranked third in shooting percentage in the conference, hitting the back of the net 8.6% of the time. 14 players have scored at least once, with aforementioned Emma Pfeffer leading the way with five.
