Women's Hockey Gets Set To Face Holy Cross For Home and Home Series

North Andover, Ma. --Merrimack continues conference play this weekend with a two game set against the College of the Holy Cross Crusaders opening at home this evening before going on the road to Worcester on Saturday, both games can be seen on ESPN+
 
Notes and Numbers

Merrimack junior forward Emma Pfeffer had a very solid opening month as she sits atop of the points charts through the first ten games of the season, with four goals and four assists for eight points. All four goals that Emma has scored this season have been on the powerplay.
 
Through the opening ten games, three Merrimack players, Maggie Kime, Hailey Eikos & Avery Anderson sit tied with five assists each, which is the team lead in the category.

Adreanna Doucette ended the opening month with 227 saves made (28.375 AVG) and five appearances making 25+ saves five times and 30+ saves four times combined with three straight games making 40+ saves.

Graduate Student Madison Michals plays her former school this weekend. Michals played the previous three seasons with Holy Cross, playing 98 games scoring seven times, including a goal against Merrimack and adding nine assists for 16 points in 98 games played. As a member of the Warriors, Michals surpassed 100 games played in her career and has three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in ten games this season.

Holy Cross had their four-game win streak snapped the previous weekend as they were swept by UConn (4-3 OTL, 3-2 L)
 
Recent History
Merrimack has gone six straight games without losing in regulation to Holy Cross, 1-0-2 last season and 3-0-3 in those six games, but Holy Cross has picked up the extra point in all three ties by winning in the shootout. Emma Pfeffer, Maria Lindberg (OT GWG) while and Lindberg, Maggie Kime have had assists, and as mentioned earlier, Current Warrior and former Crusader Madison Michals has also scored against Merrimack (Nov. 5th, 2022).

Holy Cross has not been Merrimack at home since 2019.
