WEST HAVEN, CTÂ - The Merrimack College football team took on the New Haven Chargers in a late afternoon matchup this Saturday.
Ayden Pereira threw and ran for a touchdown, but the Warriors fell by a score of 41-31.
In the Warriors matchup with the Chargers,
Ayden Pereira led the Warriors with a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown. Pereira connected with
Cade Callahan in the second quarter for a 50-yard touchdown. He finished his day with 10 completions for 172 yards. The Warrior run game included
Brendon Wyatt,
Galamama Mulbah, and
Aveon Smith all contributing 40+ yards on the ground. Mulbah found his way into the endzone for a rush touchdown after a blocked punt from
Matthias Latham.
Austin Palmer had a team leading three receptions on 32 yards and a touchdown. Palmer's 4
th quarter touchdown was thrown by
Aveon Smith.
