Szott Nominated As Hockey Humanitarian Award Finalist For Second Straight Year

Minneapolis, Minn-- The Hockey Humanitarian Award Foundation today announced that Raice Szott as one of the announced as one of their five finalists for the 2025 Hockey Humanitarian Award. The award, which is celebrating its 30th season, is presented annually to college hockey's finest citizen – a student-athlete who makes significant contributions not only to her team but also to the community through leadership in volunteerism. This is the third consecutive season in which Szott has been nominated for the award and this is the second straight time that she has been named as a finalist.
 
"Raice's selfless and giving nature has been an inspiration for many," said Merrimack Women's Ice Hockey coach Erin Hamlen. "She has humbly given back to our community and her team while excelling in athletics and academics. She is a deserving finalist for the Hockey Humanitarian Award, and I am so proud of her for all of her accomplishments on and off the ice."

 
The 2025 recipient will be announced on Friday, April 11th during the NCAA Men's Frozen Four weekend in St. Louis, Missouri.
