GREENSBORO, NC- The Merrimack College softball team played in their second game of the Spiro Classic in Greensboro, NC on February 14th. This game was the first of the doubleheader that the Warriors had this afternoon. They lost to the Toledo Rockets 13-0 in 5 innings.

How it Happened
The Rockets would strike early in the first, but Cecelia Imbimbo would get out of it by getting a fly out to left field to end the inning. However, the Warriors would have some breakthroughs in the early innings with a Caity Lemay single and an Abby Choquette hit-by-pitch. The blue and gold would have some offensive momentum in the fifth inning with Samantha Sosnovich reaching on an error and Sydney Shinopulos singling up the middle. The team would build on their rally by adding an Eva Issitt single via fielder's choice. However, despite the Warrior's efforts, they were defeated by the Toledo Rockets.
