Women's Hockey Celebrates Senior Day Against Maine

North Andover, MA- The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team celebrated their senior day but dropped the second half of their back to back with the Maine Black Bears falling by a score of 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Lawler Arena.
 
Merrimack (7-21-4, 4-17-4): 0 Maine (11-20-2, 9-14-2): 3

In the first period, Maine took only two minutes to find the game's opener and the lone goal of the opening 20 minutes.
 
Maine would double their advantage just before the halfway point of the second period.
 
The Warriors would put pressure on the third with the goaltender pulled, but were stymied in their attempt to get on the board, Maine would add an empty net goal in the final seconds to close out the game.
 
Postgame, the Warriors would honor #4 Natalie Nemes, #17 Hayley Chang, #18 Tara Blackburn, #19 Raice Szott, #27 Gabi Jones, #71 Madison Cardaci and #93 Rachel Bjorgan as a part of their senior day festivities.
 
 
 
 
UP NEXT: The Warriors stay home for their final regular season home game on Friday the 21st at 6 PM against Providence.
