Baseball Stumbles in Road Loss to Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. – The Merrimack College baseball team dropped an in state midweek game to Northeastern on the road.

How it Happened
The Warriors wanted to keep it rolling after a series win over Canisius this past weekend. Harry Painter started on the mound for Merrimack. The graduate student struggled in his appearance giving up five runs. He was not given much help from the bats with the Warriors totaling just two base knocks in the entire game. Five different Merrimack pitchers entered after Painter in the eventual 10-0 loss to Northeastern.
 
 
Notes and Numbers
  • Brooks Craigue went 1 for 3 with a single and a walk
  • Cavan Brady had the only other hit for the Warriors
  • Painter picked up his second loss of the year on the mound

Merrimack will play their third conference series of the year squaring off with Rider University starting on March 21st at 3:00 PM in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
