Chestnut Hill, MA-- The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team were defeated in their final regular season game against the Boston College Eagles by a score of
6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Conte Forum at Kelley Rink.
Merrimack (13-19-1, 9-14-1): 0, #1 Boston College 26-6-2, 18-4-2 HEA): 6
In the first, Boston College would score the opening goal
at 7:15 of the period and would double their lead just over five minutes later to hold a 2-0 lead through the opening twenty.
In the second period, Merrimack would earn a powerplay, but Boston College killed it off and scored shortly after for the lone goal of the frame to make the game 3-0 headed into the final period.
In the final period, Boston College scored their second powerplay goal of the game and their fourth of the contest
at 6:34 of the third, they added their fifth four minutes later and their sixth in the final five minutes to close the contest.
