How it HappenedÂ
Anna Gedacht got the start in the circle and kept the Eagles hitters at bay. Ellen Hubbard continued her hitting streak by giving the Warriors their first hit of the afternoon with a single to left field. Abby Choquette then followed that up with a single of her own to the opposite field. Gabby Kaduson kept the train rolling as she also singled, this time to left field, moving Choquette up to the next base. Sarah Shurtleff and Brandi Neil came in relief and got clutch outs for the blue and gold. The Warriors put together more competitive at-bats throughout the frame. Although they gave a great effort, they ultimately lost to the Eagles by a score of 8-0.
