NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball team released their roster for the upcoming 2025-2026 season as announced on Monday morning.
"Our staff knocked it out of the park in evaluating our future needs and pinpointing the driven, high character athletes ready to meet those requirements head on," said head coach
Kelly Morrone. "The talent and integrity we're adding to our roster are a direct reflection of the incredible culture we've built in our locker room. Our current players are very invested in the recruiting process. They play a vital role in welcoming future family members and showing them exactly what it means to be part of the Merrimack program."
Five newcomers, four transfers and one freshman, will join the squad with 10 returners set to be back in North Andover this upcoming year.
"The incoming class for the 2025-2026 season brings a dynamic mix of skills that will elevate our already high-octane style of play. What unites them is their relentless competitiveness, their all-in mentality, and their commitment to upholding the Merrimack standard of excellence," stated Morrone. "This is an absolutely electric group and we can't wait for our community to see just how fun they'll be to watch!"
Among the newcomers for the Warriors is Utah State transfer, Denae Skelton. The guard from West Kelowna, British Columbia is an elite three-point shooter who saw time in 26 contests and made two starts in her freshman season with the Aggies. Skelton carries with her the experience of playing stiff competition in the Mountain West Conference in her first year.
Merrimack picked up transfer graduate student, Oralye Kiefer. The six-foot, three-inch forward is a local product hailing from Wayland, Massachusetts. Kiefer spent three years with the Huskies playing in 53 career games and making seven starts. A highly skilled and mobile offensive player who provides a much-needed shot blocking presence as she will help to solidify the Warriors front court.
The Warriors also brought in junior guard Makayla Thomas, a transfer from Niagara County Community College. In her 33 games as a starter with the Thunder Wolves, she scored better than 11 points a contest while averaging 4.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
To complete the quartet of transfers is Se'Lah Reddick who comes to North Andover out of Flagler College. The Jacksonville, Florida product spent the past two seasons with the Saints, playing in a combined 55 games making 46 starts. She averaged 5.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Reddick brings added experience to a fresh Warriors backcourt.
The final addition to the team is freshman guard Joi Williams. The five-foot, five-inch Alliance, Ohio native played her high school basketball at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. Williams averaged 22.0 points per game in her senior season, earning First Team All-Ohio honors. She went on to break the program record in career points with 1,778 and shattered the points in a season record with 573.
The Warriors will aim to build upon a successful first season in the MAAC where they carved their way into the conference semifinals in 2024-2025.
