NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team announced their schedule for the upcoming 2025 season.
The campaign will begin with three consecutive tournaments away from home. That starts with a trip to East Lansing, Michigan to play Chicago State and Michigan State on August 30
th. The next trip is to Dekalb, Illinois for the Northern Illinois Tournament. It kicks off with a matchup against the host Northern Illinois on September 5
th followed by a pair of matches on the sixth versus SIU Edwardsville and Indiana State. The Warriors travel to one final tournament to square off with Holy Cross on September 12
th before a meeting against Providence on the 13
th. The final day of the tournament is a battle with former familiar foe Central Connecticut State on the 14
th. Merrimack will play once more on the road with a quick ride up north to play at the University of New Hampshire to close out non-conference action.
MAAC play opens up with a pair of road matches in Connecticut with bouts against Fairfield and Sacred Heart on the 26
th and 27
th of September. The Warriors close out the month with the home opening match versus Quinnipiac on the 30
th. A home weekend awaits next with home matchups against Niagara and Canisius on October 3
rd and 4
th. A string of four straight away from North Andover is on tap beginning with Saint Peter's on October 11
th and Rider on the 12
th. The 17
th and 18
th will feature trips into New York to face Marist and Siena. Finally, Merrimack returns back to North Andover as they play host this time to both Sacred Heart and Fairfield on the 24
th and 25
th of October.
The second meeting with Quinnipiac headlines a busy week for the Warriors on the 28
th as home matches versus Manhattan on the 31
st and Iona on November 1
st are next on the calendar. Rider comes into town on the 7
th and Saint Peter's proceeds right after on the 8
th to close out the home slate of games for the 2025 schedule. The final weekend of the regular season is a long bus ride into western New York to play Canisius and Niagara on the 14
th and 15
th.
Merrimack finished last season as the number seven seed in their first year as a member of the MAAC. They would go on to advance to the quarterfinals and will aim to build upon that in year two under head coach Ken Nichols.
