Dartmouth, Ma – The Merrimack women's cross-country team returned after a week off as they took part in the UMass Dartmouth Corsair XC Invitational held on Saturday morning, with a ninth place finish overall.

Maci Chapman was the top finisher for the Warriors with a time of 22:32, 34
th overall,
Avaline Fihlman was just behind with a 39
th place final position and a time of 22:40, with Mariana Collins rounding out the top 40 of the overall event as the Warriors third highest finisher with a mark of 22:42,
Olivia Guckian placed in 85
th with a time of 23:29 and
Courtney Hinchion finished as Merrimack's fifth quickest runner with a time of 23:47 and a 98
th place finish

Chris Cameron: "We had some good individual performances and new PR's set. Our top 3 girls packed it up well and now we need our 4-7 runners to run closer to them. We're definitely capable of doing this and I have full confidence we'll get there in the coming weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing how they respond at Paul Short in two weeks."
