North Andover, Ma.-- The Merrimack College Warriors Men's soccer team dropped their opening game of MAAC play to the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers by final score 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.

Merrimack got off on the right foot as
Keller Cassidy found the net at the 12 minute mark of the opening half, the Warriors would double the lead just eight minutes later as
Adam Abdelaal would win and convert a penalty kick. The Mount would cut the lead in half with a penalty kick goal their own, but
Bor Zunec would re-establish the two goal advantage in the final two minutes but the first 45 would find it's fifth goal as the Mountaineers would rifle a shot in in the closing seconds.
In the second half and both teams becoming more and more eager to find the next goal, the Mountaineers would win and score their second penalty kick of the game to tie the game at three. Mount St. Mary's would take the lead two minutes later.
In the final seconds, Merrimack would win a free kick in an attacking position, 21 players would converge in the 18 yard box, and the cross would pinball of the mass of humanity to
Adam Abdelaal would was stopped as the horn sounded.

Keller Cassidy's goal was his third of the season.
