Merrimack (3-6-2), 2-3-0), Quinnipiac (3-3-3, 3-0-2)
It's senior day at Martone-Mejail Field and the Warriors found themselves playing in front of a packed house against the Bobcats. In the first half the Warrior defense came to play only allowing one shot on goal which was a Bobcat score. The Warriors shut down all four of the Bobcat corner kicks easily with their great interior defense. Three shots from the Merrimack offense were to no avail as Quinnipiac found themselves with the lead at half.
In a close game, the Warriors came out of the second half firing. Multiple shots from the offense were off target and the defense continued to shut down any Bobcat momentum. At last, in the 78
th minute
Kylie Fuller netted a goal from
Fallon Ryan to tie the game at 1-1. Minutes later, a brutal turnover on their own side of the field opened the door for the Bobcats as they chipped in their second goal of the game. Late Warrior efforts weren't enough as they fell to the Bobcats in a crushing defeat.
