NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Merrimack College women's basketball dropped a conference matchup to Iona this afternoon 58-51. Madison Roman led the way tallying a double-double in her sixth straight game.
Roman scored 13 on the afternoon, shooting 6-11 from the field. It was her sixth straight game shooting over 50% from the field as well. Roman came down with 12 rebounds and added on three assists.
Paloma Garcia came close to a double-double scoring 13 as well. Garcia had seven rebounds and a season high three blocks.
Oralye Kiefer made it 10-straight games scoring double-digit points. Her 10-point day was accompanied by six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.
The loss today snapped a five game win streak held by the Warriors.
The Warriors return home next Monday, January 19th, for an afternoon game against Quinnipiac. Tip off against the Bobcats is at 2 p.m.
