Kennedy Scores 23 In Loss To Iona

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Merrimack College men's basketball team fell in a back-and-forth battle 61-60 to Iona Thursday. Kevair Kennedy made it three-straight games with over 20 points.

Kennedy's 23 points on the night came on 10 made shots from the field. The Philly native shot 50% from the field and came down with eight rebounds.

Ernest Shelton also shot 50% from the field, scoring 13 points. He had five rebounds to go with his 10th-straight game in double-digit points.

KC Ugwuakazi scored 11 and came one rebound shy of his first career double-double. He added on three blocks.

The Warriors head home on Saturday to take on the Peacocks of Saint Peter's University for an afternoon matchup. Tip-off from Lawler Arena is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be streamed on both ESPN+ and NESN.
