BOSTON, Mass. -- The Merrimack College women's rowing team started off its fall season over the weekend as the program took part in the internationally-known Head of the Charles Regatta.
The Warriors were one of 800-plus clubs from all over the world to compete in the three-mile event, which begins near Boston University and winds through Cambridge and Boston.
Merrimack first-year head coach Ellen Minzner and the Warriors competed in the Women's Club Eights section against some of the top programs from around the country, concluding in the middle of the pack. The Yale Bulldogs took first in the event.
The Warriors will soon host an intrasquad scrimmage in preparations for their spring season.
