NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- The Merrimack men's lacrosse team put together an valiant second-half effort against the visiting Utah Utes, but ultimately fell in a 17-8 non-league clash at Duane Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Colin Kruger tallied a hat trick for the Warriors, who went back and forth with the Utes in the second half after a 13-5 halftime deficit.
Utah's Ryan Stines (six goals, three assists) proved to be a difficult cover with the Utes excelling in transition.
Jesse Dalanzo (seven saves) and Jaden Malfano (six saves) combined to finish with 13 stops in net.
The Warriors (1-3) travel to Dartmouth on Tuesday.
