NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- Merrimack College Football head coach
Mike Gennetti announced the following players signed with the Warriors during National Signing Day on Wednesday.
The following eight players, all of whom will be incoming freshman, will take the gridiron at Duane Stadium when the 2026 campaign begins:
Josh Johnson
Position: Defensive back
High School: Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High
Hometown: Baltimore, MD
Accolades: All-State Class 4A-3A Team
"Josh recorded over 65 tackles, five interceptions, and 13 pass breakups, and his ability in man coverage really stood out during the evaluation process. Whether playing on the outside or in the slot, he consistently plays with aggression and competitiveness. Josh's athleticism and ball skills make him a strong addition to our defensive back room, and his versatility allows him to contribute in coverage, the run game, and as a blitzer. We're excited to have Josh join our program." --

Position: Defensive end

Hometown: Baltimore, MD
Accolades: Class 4A-3A All-State Team, Sports Illustrated 2025 Maryland All-Region Selection
"Brian plays with a high motor and his passion for the game consistently stands out on film. His state championship run and All-Region recognition reflect the impact he made as a defender. Brian brings versatility as an edge player, combining physicality with an explosive get-off that creates problems for offensive linemen. Antonio Ledbetter Jr.
Position: Running back
High School: Archbishop Spalding
Hometown: Glen Burnie, MD
Accolades: MIAA "A" Conference Athlete of the Year, Sports Illustrated All-State Private School Division I First Team, Baltimore Sun All-Metro First Team and Capital Gazette All-County First Team, Baltimore Touchdown Club Super 22 Team
"Antonio was a standout running back from Archbishop Spalding High School in Maryland. We really loved his vision, balance, and ability to make plays downfield. As a senior, Antonio earned MIAA 'A' Conference Athlete of the Year honors after rushing for over 1,500 yards and totaling 22 touchdowns. His production and accolades reflect the play making ability we're excited to bring into our offense." -- Coach Gennetti
Connor Flaherty
Position: Offensive line
High School: Bedford High
Hometown: Bedford, NH
Accolades: 2x First Team All-State Selection
"Connor is someone we're really excited to have join us this fall. A native of Bedford, NH, Connor was the top offensive lineman in the state of New Hampshire and earned Division I All-State honors. He brings a high level of physicality to the offensive tackle position, which is extremely valuable to our program. A team captain at Bedford High School, Connor's film consistently showed physical dominance, and we're excited to continue his development here at Merrimack." -- Coach Gennetti
Logan Monteyne
Position: Linebacker
High School: DePaul Catholic
Hometown: Totowa, NJ
Accolades: 1st Team All-County, First Team All League
"Logan really impressed us at our prospect clinic in June. As an inside linebacker, he gives you the best of both worlds, he's a true sideline-to-sideline defender who can also play downhill. Two things that stood out early in the evaluation process were his competitiveness and his ability to finish tackles." -- Coach Gennetti
Jake Attaway
Position: Quarterback
High School: Phillips Exeter Academy
Hometown: Hudson, MA
Accolades: One of five players in state history to surpass 10,000 total yards (10,740), 147 total touchdowns is a Mass. state record.
"Jake comes to us by way of Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH and was coached by Merrimack alum Panos Voulgaris. Jake is the all-time touchdown leader in the state of Massachusetts (147 total scores) and one of only five players in state history to eclipse 10,000 total yards.
Bringing a player of Jake's caliber and production to Merrimack is a huge win for our program." -- Coach Gennetti
Antwan Smith-Ray Jr.
Position: Defensive end
High School: Roman Catholic
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
Accolades: 247 Sports and Rivals 3-Star recruit, All-Catholic League selection, 2x All-American, 5A State Champion
"A highly-touted three-star recruit, Antwan's length and athleticism make him a force on the interior of our defensive line. His ability to use his hands and reset the line of scrimmage consistently stood out on film, and his athleticism for a big man was evident throughout the evaluation process.

TJ Monroe Jr.
Position: Wide receiver
High School: Eau Gallie
Hometown: Palm Bay, FL
Accolades: In 2025, Monroe finished with 500-plus receiving yards, 178 rushing yards and six total touchdowns
"TJ is an explosive slot receiver who has the ability to score on any given play. His production of over 500 receiving yards, nearly 200 rushing yards, and six total touchdowns highlights his versatility and play-making ability. TJ shows great quickness getting in and out of his breaks, consistently separating from defensive backs, and we're really excited to bring him in and work with him." -- Coach Gennetti
