Justin Gill and
Parker Lalonde were both named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All Rookie team as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning.
Justin Gill, a forward from St-Joseph-du-Lac, Quebec, scored 16 times in the regular season becoming the first Warrior to hit that mark since Hampus Gustafsson did in so in 2015-16. He also sits atop the team lead in points with
Trevor Hoskin (32), he also joins Hoskin as the lone Warriors' with over a point a game pace. Gill also had the longest point and goal streak of any player on Merrimack this season, with a point in 13 consecutive games and a goal in seven straight. Gill sits tied for fifth place in Hockey East goals and points and 2nd in goals in conference by a freshman. Gill also received conference honors in February when he was named rookie of the month in February.
Parker Lalonde, a forward from Aberdeen, SK, had 32 points in 33 games, scoring 12 times and have a team high 20 assists. Lalonde scored his first collegiate hat trick on October 18 against New Hampshire, and had nine multi point games over the season including a career high four point game against Vermont on February 27.
Gill and Lalonde will both play tonight as the Warriors are set to face the UMass Lowell Riverhawks at 7 PM at Lawler Arena.
