Amesbury, MA-- Merrimack sophomore forward
Trevor Hoskin was named as the Hockey East Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
Hoskin, a forward from Belleville, ON, scored twice including the game winning goal in Merrimack's 5-3 victory over UMass Lowell in the Hockey East Opening Round last Wednesday, and then scored the overtime winner against the #1 seeded Providence College Friars to win their round in the Hockey East Quarterfinals this past Saturday.
Hoskin and the Warriors will play the #2 seeded UMass Minutemen at 4 PM on Friday, March 20 at the TD Garden for a spot in the Hockey East Championships.
