BUFFALO, NY – The Merrimack baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Canisius on Saturday, losing the opening game 14-3 and the second game 5-3.
The Warriors had taken the opening game of the series 4-2 on Friday.
Matt DeShire went 2-for-3 with a RBI and run scored in Saturday's first game.
Christian Scanlon had a hit and drove and a run in the opener.
Garrett McGovern had two hits for the Warriors in Saturday's second game.
Joey Frammartino had a hit and drove in a run, while
Chris Goode also had an RBI.
James Norsari allowed two runs in five innings on the mound for Merrimack. But Canisius used a three-run sixth inning to take the win.
Merrimack hosts UMass Lowell on Tuesday in the home opener at Greater Lawrence Tech at 3 p.m.
