ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -- The Merrimack Warriors battled to the very end, but ultimately suffered a 65-48 loss to nationally-ranked Fairfield in the MAAC Women's Basketball semifinals at Boardwalk Hall on Sunday.
The Warriors trailed 28-24 at halftime, but the Stags pulled away by outscoring Merrimack 17-7 in the final period.
Following a regular season which included the Warriors finishing third in the conference, Merrimack exits the tournament with a 19-12 overall record.
Se'Lah Reddick led the Warriors with 17 points (3-for-5 from three-point range) with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Paloma Garcia, the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, scored i10 points with seven rebounds and two assists.
Madison Roman, a First Team All-MAAC selection, had five points and five rebounds. Daria Shishkina finished with seven points (2-for-3 from the field) with a career-high four steals.
