JERSEY CITY, NJ– Merrimack Softball scored seven in the fourth in and scored 14 runs in all as they walloped the St. Peter's Peacocks by a score of 14-6 in the series finale on Sunday.
Caity Lemay opened the scoring the ballgame in the first and ended the scoring for the Warriors in the seventh with a two RBI single.
Merrimack's offense took off in the fourth, upending a two run defecit into a five run lead as
Emma Prahin homered,
Sam Russalesi drew a bases loaded walk and would later score on an error,
Jamie Calkins smacked a two run single, and
Madeline Arvai had an RBI double.
Abby Choquette would keep it rolling, beginning a four run fifth with a home run of her own, and Arvai would hit another RBI double, scoring two, before scoring on an attempted steal.
Anna Gedacht made it two wins in two days with another complete game, striking out two.
Merrimack stays on the road to face Holy Cross on Thursday, April 16.
