Baseball Drops Doubleheader To Sacred Heart

FAIRFIELD, CT - Merrimack College baseball faced Sacred Heart in a doubleheader this Friday and dropped both games, 3-2 and 6-1. 

 

Game 1:

Matt DeShiro continued his hot streak with a three hit game. He doubled in his second plate appearance. 

Both Jack Andrews and Brett McKinnon recorded two hits during the game. 

Andrews reached base for a third time, off a walk.

McKinnon drove in the team's only RBI off a single in the eighth inning. 

Chris Goode was one of three Warriors to hit a double.

James Nichols and Michael Bradshaw held the Pioneers to three hits and no runs in two innings of relief each. 
 

Game 2: 

McKinnon continued his impressive day, with a hit and two walks.

Matt DeShiro singled to make it eight straight games with a hit and 23 straight on-base.

Jayden Hamilton tallied a hit.

Jack DePalma drove in the only Warrior run on a fielder's choice in the seventh inning. 

James Borsari went 5.1 innings only allowing four hits and one earned run. 

The Warriors finish the three game series tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.
