LOUDONVILLE, NY.-- Merrimack Softball kept their run going, making four straight wins with a doubleheader victory, taking 4-2 and 9-7 wins over Siena on Friday afternoon.
In game one,
Anna Mitrou opened the scoring in the fifth with a wallscraping home run to center field, scoring two. Siena would tie the score in the sixth to send the game to extras, but Merrimack would get the win, thanks in part to back to back home runs by
Caity Lemay and
Sam Ryan.
Anna Gedacht picked up win #7, pitching all eight innings, striking out three.
In game two, the Warriors turned around an early deficit with a five run second inning with two two RBI doubles from
Alex Miller and
Madeline Arvai. Merrimack would add two more runs in the third and an insurance run in the sixth, in a game where every Warrior batter would reach base at least once.
Sam Ryan would pitch seven innings in relief, to get the win, her third of the season.
