FAIRFIELD, CT-- The Merrimack Softball team began their ten game road trip this afternoon with a doubleheader against Sacred Heart on Friday afternoon falling by scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
Madeline Arvai and
Samantha Sosnovich both had hits in game one, while
MacKenzie Paulin and
Sam Ryan both pitched.
In game two, the Warriors scored first as
Madeline Arvai hit her third homerun of the season in the first inning, scoring
Sam Russalesi.
Russalesi joined
Sam Ryan and
Caity Lemay in the hit column, and Fairfield resident
Anna Gedacht got the start on the mound, striking out three.
The Warriors end the three game set with the Pioneers tomorrow at 12:00 PM.
