BOSTON, Mass. – People don't forget, right?
The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team has a banner hanging in the rafters at TD Garden after winning the 2026 Hockey East Championship following a thrilling win over UConn on March 21. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that Scott Borek's Warriors have forgotten about it. And Merrimack fans, many of whom packed TD Garden during the two-day event, shouldn't forget it either.
It's why the Merrimack athletic department has launched a social media campaign called "Mack In The Rafters," in an effort to keep Merrimack's banner not only atop TD Garden but also top of mind.Â
Our request is easy: Every time you visit TD Garden, take a picture of the white Hockey East Championship banner with "Merrimack College 2026 Champions" hanging in yellow and blue.Â
From there, post the photo to social media with the hashtag "MackInTheRafters." If you tag @MerrimackWarriors on Instagram and @MC_Athletics on X, you will be entered to win a prize with a drawing set to occur quarterly. There are no limits on the amount of entries you can submit.
Everyone at Merrimack College still vividly remembers the Hockey East Championship at TD Garden.
