Women's Soccer Set To Begin Regular Season Vs. Vermont

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- The Merrimack women's soccer team is set to begin its regular season as the Warriors travel to the University of Vermont on Wednesday night.

It marks the second consecutive season the Warriors begin their season against the Catamounts, playing to a 1-1 draw as they kicked off the 2025 campaign.

Merrimack women's soccer coach Gabe Mejail, who broke the record for most NCAA seasons coached in 2025, will extend his record as he begins his 47^th campaign at the helm of a NCAA team. The 2025 season marks Mejail's 43^rd season as Merrimack's head coach.  

The Warriors host their home opener against the Northeastern Huskies on Sunday afternoon, which will be seen on ESPN+.
