Women's Volleyball Stopped By FAU In Season Opener

BOCA RATON, FL – Junior Mckenna Shotwell had eight kills and 10 digs, but the Merrimack women's volleyball team lost its season opener to FAU 3-0 in the Florida Atlantic Invitational on Friday morning.

The Warriors dropped the first two sets both by a score of 25-17 and FAU won the third set 25-20.

Sophomore Jocelyn Hammerstrand had seven kills and three blocks, while freshman Tami Afolalu had six kills in her collegiate debut.

Merrimack has a quick turnaround, facing Florida International today at 4:30 p.m.
