NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack men's golf program will step to the opening tee at the Rams Master Invitational, which will be hosted by Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., this weekend.
Merrimack Director of Golf R.J. Montez is looking forward to getting started after a strong showing in practice rounds, which were filled with birdies and eagles.Â
"We are hoping to take that energy out west with us," Montez said. "We have a good mix of new blood and experience so we're looking forward to melding those two and seeing what can come out of it."
The Warriors capped the 2025-26 season with an eighth-place finish at the conference tournament.
Brendan Zinck will be the lone senior on the Merrimack roster while junior Nate Crowley as well as sophomores Sean Roddy and Jimmy Schouller will look to improve on their previous season with the program. Roddy carded the second-best score of any Merrimack golfer at the conference tournament in the spring while Zinck and Crowley finished with the third- and fourth-best, respectively.
Merrimack freshmen Tate Evans and Rajveer Hundal provide Montez's group with some exciting youthful potential.
The Warriors have some exciting trips planned during their fall and spring seasons with Colorado, Puerto Rico and Florida, putting Merrimack on the tees and greens with some tough teams in Division I.
