Women’s Volleyball Comes Up Short Against Fordham

SMITHFIELD, RI – The Merrimack women's volleyball team fell to Fordham University, 3-1, at Chace Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. 

Merrimack took the third set of the contest, but Fordham closed it out in the fourth for a 25-16, 25-17, 17-25, 25-22 victory. 

Pacing the way for the Warriors was junior outside hitter Mckenna Shotwell, who posted a double-double on the day with 13 digs and 10 kills. Sophomore right side Jocelyn Hammerstrand also put up numbers on the stat sheet with nine kills and eight digs on the day.

The Warriors host Harvard at the Sakowich Center on Tuesday. First serve is set for 7pm.
