North Andover, Mass. – Merrimack College women's soccer goaltender
Addison Israel was named as Metro Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by conference on Monday afternoon.
Israel, a sophomore goaltender from Guilford, Connecticut was outstanding in her last start for the Warriors, making nine saves and posting her first clean sheet in the 0-0 draw with the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Saturday.
She has made 25 saves so far this year and she is currently averaging 5.00 saves per game, good for fifth place in both categories.
Merrimack takes the field next on September 19 against Iona.
