NORTH EASTON, MA – The Merrimack College Field Hockey team is gearing up to take on Stonehill this Friday on the road, to open up NEC conference play.
In the 2026 Pre-season NEC Field Hockey poll, the two squads were lined up right next to each other. Stonehill projected to finish in sixth in NEC play, while the Warriors were placed in the seven spot. Both squads will be looking to snag win number one on the season.

We've put in the work, we're feeling strong and confident, and we're ready to bring our intensity and compete for every minute of this matchup." head coach Christine Hathaway said . . "Stonehill is a great competitor, and we're excited for the challenge, the battle, and the opportunity to set the tone for conference play!"
Look for the Warriors to rely on junior forward Erin Cottam to be the key factor on the attack. Cottam this past week was named to the NEC Prime Performers list for week number three. Cottam finished the week racking up three points for the Warriors through two games.
