NORTH ANDOVER, MASS.— The Merrimack women's hockey team rolled to a 7-1 preseason victory over the Stonehill Skyhawks on Saturday morning.
The game was highlighted by a hat trick by
Madison Vittands hat trick, as she scored the fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the game. This was the first hat trick for a women's player since incoming Merrimack Hall of Famer Mikyla Grant-Mentis did so against Brown on November 27
th, 2019.
Other goals were scored by
Cameron Crawford,
Mady Cipolla,
Emma Pfeffer and
Avery Anderson.
Danika Dureau had three assists in the win.
The Warriors seven goals were the most since February 5
th 2019, a 7-1 win against UConn.
Merrimack's 51 shots were the most since October 6
th 2023 when they had 58 in a win against Syracuse.
