NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team fell to the Iona Gaels, Saturday afternoon in straight sets by scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-19.
It was a career day for redshirt junior outside Fabiola Betancourt who was able to rack up a career high 12 kills on the day through just three sets. Another impressive day for freshman outside hitter Tami Afolalu who recorded 11 kills on the outing, that is 3 out of her last 4 outings where she has posted double digit kills.
More Metro play roams on the horizon for the Warriors as this Tuesday they will head to Hamden to take on Quinnipiac, first serve set for 6 pm.Â
