NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — The Merrimack women's volleyball team returns to North Andover where it will host the University of New Hampshire in its home opener Tuesday night.
Merrimack head coach Ken Nichols and the Warriors (0-6) will try to pick up their first win of the season after returning from a three-game showing at the Saluki Bash.
Junior outside hitter Mckenna Shotwell, who was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Saluki Bash, has been a key factor for the Warriors this season. Shotwell registered 25 kills in the three tournament matches, including season-high 11 kills against St. Louis.
The Warriors will have their hands full with the Wildcats (5-1), though. UNH enters the matchup after it earned a pair of wins at the Chestnut Hill Invitational. UNH junior outside hitter Emma Converse has proven to be a difficult matchup for opponents with 80 kills in six contests this season.
