NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – We're less than one month away from the Hockey East champions returning to the ice.
The Merrimack College men's hockey team on Tuesday announced its 2026-27 schedule and released tickets. The 34-game regular-season slate includes 25 games against Hockey East competition and 18 home games at Lawler Rink.
Following a preseason game against Sacred Heart, the Warriors open their season on the road at Quinnipiac on Oct. 3.
It'll then be a banner night for Scott Borek's program as the Warriors raise their first-ever Hockey East Championship banner on Thursday, Oct. 8. Following the banner raising and pregame celebration, the Warriors host the University of New Hampshire with puck drop set for 7 p.m.
Another highlight on the schedule will be when the Warriors host the Minnesota State Mavericks for a back-to-back on October 16 and 17. Merrimack then will head to South Bend, Indiana to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Oct. 23 and 24. The Warriors hosted the Fighting Irish during the 2025-26 season, marking the second year of the home-and-home with the Fighting Irish.
Merrimack will host the University of Connecticut in a Hockey East Championship rematch on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, Oct 31. With the Warrior football team hosting Youth Day on Saturday afternoon, Merrimack supporters could make it a fun-filled day at Duane Stadium and Lawler Rink.
Merrimack begins November with a single-game weekend with the College of the Holy Cross Crusaders on the Nov. 6. The Warrior then take part in a home and home with Providence on the Nov. 13-14 and Boston University on Nov. 20 and 21.
The Warriors will spend Thanksgiving weekend in Lake Placid, N.Y., with a two-game tournament featuring Clarkson, St. Lawrence and RIT. They'll continue their non-conference schedule against Brown at Lawler Arena on Dec. 5.
Merrimack's longest home stretch will be four games with a homestand against Maine on Feb. 12 and 13 and Boston College on Feb. 19. Merrimack will play its final home game on Feb. 27 before closing out the regular season against UMass Lowell on March. 5.
