Cassidy's Second-Half Strike Enough To Defeat Central Connecticut

NORTH ANDOVER, MA.--   The Merrimack College Warriors Men's soccer team opened their home schedule with a win, stretching their unbeaten streak to four with a 1-0 victory over the Central Connecticut Blue Devils on Tuesday evening.
 
A goalless first half saw the Warriors fire ten shots at goal, and hold Central Connecticut to zero shot attempts of their own.
 
Merrimack had their breakthrough as the ball fell to Keller Cassidy who coolly converted into the bottom corner in the 71st minute.
 
Matteo Malaguti notched his first clean sheet as a member of the Warriors, making two saves, both in the second half.
 
 
 
 
UP NEXT: The Warriors stay home for more non-conference action as they play Dartmouth College on Friday September 11.
