Aboutclub figure skating team photo
The Merrimack College Figure Skating team is a, non-profit student-run club sport at Merrimack College. Our goal is to develop and maintain a figure skating team at Merrimack College and establish excellence in collegiate figure skating. Our team consists of all level of skaters from preliminary to senior level. We have ice time 4 days a week and have 6 different sessions for our skaters to choose from. Our skaters work on the sessions for their own benefit of growing as an individual skater and we also practice as a group to prepare our team performances. Our team travels throughout the year to compete at competitions such as MIT Intercollegiate Competition and Violet Ice Classic Competition hosted by NYU. We host an annual Holiday Showcase to promote our team to the Merrimack College community as well as the figure skating community. A commitment of being a part of the figure skating team is to work at the men's Division 1 Ice Hockey games where we
shovel the ice in-between whistles and we also perform during intermissions. You can watch our performances on our
website as well as on our Facebook page. We fundraise in our community to improve the growth of our team each year. It is our mission to promote the Merrimack College values and include everyone in our community. Our mission is to encourage participation, knowledge and excellence in figure skating for people of all ages, abilities, and means.
